How it works

3D renderPress the two wall mounts onto a clean, smooth wall with the Command™ strips provided, level and about the width of your mat apart. Give the strips an hour to set.
3D renderSlide a clamp onto each side edge of your mat, just below the tassels, and squeeze until it clicks: one click for thick padded mats, two for thin ones.
PhotoHold the mat up to the wall. Each clamp rests on its wall mount’s little ledge and the magnets pull it into place. To take it down, lift it up slightly and away. The clamps can stay on the mat while you pray.

Very likely. The clamps have two click settings, and we’ve tested them on mats from the thinnest 1–2 mm travel mats up to thick padded mats of 20 mm. They grip the two side edges of the mat, just below the tassels.
The wall mounts are fixed with Command™ strips, which are made to come off cleanly. To remove one, pull its tab slowly and straight down along the wall, never out towards you. Use them on clean, smooth, painted walls, not on wallpaper or textured walls, and wait at least 7 days after painting.
No. The clamps simply grip the edge, and you can take them off whenever you like, for example to wash the mat. Nothing is glued, sewn or stuck to it.
Each clamp sits on a small ledge on its wall mount, which takes the weight, and a pair of neodymium magnets holds it to the wall. Prayer Mat Hanger is made for prayer mats, not heavy floor rugs.
Yes, that’s the idea. Lift the mat up slightly and away from the wall, pray, then hold it back to the wall mounts. The clamps can stay on the mat while you pray, and their rounded fronts are smooth under your hand.
